2.5. Study Performance Evaluation

Student study evaluations are conducted routinely at the end of each semester. Evaluations of study results are also conducted at the end of the first two years and at the end of the maximum study period. In general, the evaluation system implemented in the TSPD Study Program can be seen in Figure 1.

Picture 1. Evaluation Scheme of Study Results in the environment of Vocational School UGM.

In more detail, here are the stages of implementing an evaluation of the Applied Bachelor’s Program TSPD:

II.5.1. Evaluation of the first two years (4 semesters)

  1. For the first 4 semesters, starting from the time of a student’s initial registration at UGM, the student must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours (SKS) with a minimum GPA of 2.0, without any grade of E.
  2. The first Warning Letter (SP1) will be issued at the beginning of the 3rd semester if the student fails to obtain 30 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0 during the first two semesters (semester 1 and 2).
  3. The second Warning Letter (SP2) will be issued at the beginning of the 4th semester if the student fails to obtain 30 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0 during the first three semesters (semester 1, 2, and 3).
  4. Students who receive the first and second Warning Letters must write a statement on a stamp paper of 10,000 stating their commitment to improve their academic performance in accordance with the applicable regulations.
  5. Students are requested to withdraw from the university if, at the end of the 4th semester, their GPA is less than 2 for their best 30 credit hours.

II.5.2. Evaluation of normal study period (8 semesters)

A student of the General Surveying and Mapping Technology Program at the Vocational School, Universitas Gadjah Mada, is considered to have completed (graduated) from the applied bachelor’s program if:

  1. They have completed all mandatory courses and some elective courses with a minimum of 146 credit hours (SKS).
  2. Their Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) is not less than 2.50.
  3. They have no grade of E.
  4. The number of D grades does not exceed 25% of the total credit hours or 37 credit hours.
  5. They have a minimum grade of C for the mandatory curriculum courses at UGM: Religion, Pancasila, Citizenship, and Indonesian Language.
  6. They have completed the Final Project and have been declared pass in the Final Project seminar.

Students who have fulfilled the graduation requirements are considered graduated and entitled to receive the Applied Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (S.Tr.T). The determination of graduation is conducted during the Yudisium forum organized by the Program Study, and the graduation predicate is determined as stated in Table 3 below.
